Beginners Schemes for Double-Hand Poker

[ English ]

Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with ancient ancestry. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the wild west in an awesome game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the house, unlike almost all other poker games that players wager with other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, beginning players do not need to be concerned about other, more advanced people taking their cash.

An additional Pai Gow advantage is the fairly leisurely game play, beginners can take their time and plan without having to make quick choices.

It is also simpler to gamble on for an extended time with basically a small bit of cash since, to lose, each of your hands has to be under both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is assigned seven cards faces showing and the dealer receives 7 cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the houses.
