Novice Strategy for Pai Gow Poker

[ English ]

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Based on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the wild west in a great game for beginning level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the croupier, unlike the majority of other poker games that players play with other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, new players don’t have to fret about other, more skillful people winning their money.

A further Pai Gow edge is the generally leisurely game play, novices will be able to take their time and strategize without needing to make hasty decisions.

It is also easier to play for an extended time with basically a little bit of money since, to not win, both of your hands must be lower than both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is given seven cards face up and the croupier is dealt 7 cards face down.

One five card hand and one two card hand have to be made from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the dealer’s.
