Caribbean Poker Codes and Tricks

Internet poker has become globally celebrated recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the bank instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the dealer saying "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the house and of course all of the different players are given 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning bet, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantaneously to the casino. After the bet is the face off. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, including an amount on par with the ante. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The casino pony’s up money equal to your ante and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
